"What a fabulous product. Smells great, cleans great, you need so little of it compared to washing up liquid, no plastic, no harmful ingredients. I love it. Everyone should be using this. Highly recommend. Thank you cosy cottage."

Our lemon washing soap bar was the first product we created in our Cosy Clean range, and has proved hugely popular. Economical to use, as you only use very little each time you wash the dishes, this 55g bar is an easy switch to a greener, plastic-free kitchen. With a fresh lemon citrus smell, this bar is kind to hands as it's detergent free and a natural alternative to normal washing up liquid, which can be harsh on the skin and the environment.

This product is vegetarian, palm oil free, cruelty free, plastic free and delightfully 100% natural.

The large, premium quality cotton "Bee" tea towels have been designed for Cosy Cottage by our artist friend at Cooperillo and are available with a green or white background

Tea towels and brushes are available separately in our Plastic Free Accessories Range

HOW TO USE:

Why not read our 'How our washing up soap works and top tips' blog here

Simply run a sink of hot water and add the dishes! As you clean each dish, either rub the soap onto the dish (good for burnt on food), or keeping the soap on the side next to the sink, rub the cloth, brush or sponge onto the bar and then onto the dish.

You can also dissolve a little soap into the washing-up water; this solution is great as a soak for super-stubborn pans.

Glasses should be rinsed with water before drying.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SOAP AS A BODY SOAP!

Good product

This soap bar was slightly smaller than I expected but nonetheless it does the job. Ideal for washing up one or two items that you don’t want a whole sink full of suds for. Really good for the outside of my steel wok and frying pan so I don’t remove the patina on the cooking surface . I just rub it over with the brush after putting the soap on it. Job done.

Washing up soap

At first work really well, with usage I noticed a bit of grease residue in the sink and in the clean dishes, probably I need to use more in my dish sponge or a hand brush would work better.

Washing up Soap

I tried this product (when l had run out of my normal washing up stuff) several times, whilst it seemed ok for crockery. I was very disappointed using on glass and stainless steel pans. Even after many rinses they were both cloudy and smeared which were only removed by going back to my usual eco washing liquid.

This washing up soap is a brilliant way of helping the environment while having lovely clean dishes, pots and glasses. Even my cutlery which is old shines like new.
