We originally created our Little Bit of Letterbox Love concept during the pandemic, when people could not be together and a small, thoughtful gift arriving unexpectedly through the door meant everything. It proved so popular that it has been part of our Christmas range ever since. Every single one goes with free Royal Mail postage and a free personalised message card, so the only thing you need to do is write your message.

Free Postage and a Free Personalised Message, On Us
We cover the cost of the postage on every single one of these. It is our small contribution to making Christmas a little easier and a little kinder. Every Little Bit of Love set goes with free Royal Mail postage and a free personalised message card. Simply leave your message in the Order Notes field at checkout and we will write it for you. No need to select gift wrap unless you would like it. We will send it directly to your recipient so it arrives as a lovely surprise through their letterbox.
The Cooperillo Card
The seasonal message card is an exclusive design by Simon, our friend, part-time soapmaker and the fine artist behind Cooperillo. Simon makes soap for us in our Malton workshop and runs his fine art business, Cooperillo, alongside. These little square cards are designed exclusively for Cosy Cottage Soap and are not available anywhere else. They are genuinely beautiful pieces of original artwork in miniature, and more than one recipient has told us they kept theirs long after Christmas.
The Perfect Alternative to a Card
At £7.50 with free postage, this is the same price as a really good Christmas card and considerably less than a fancy coffee. But unlike a card, it comes with a natural salve they will actually use, a piece of proper Yorkshire chocolate and a beautiful piece of original artwork to keep. And unlike a fancy coffee, it will not make a terrible mess of their hallway carpet.
Natural, Sustainable and Made in Yorkshire
The salve is handmade in our Malton, Yorkshire workshop from natural plant-derived oils and fragranced with steam-distilled sweet orange essential oil. Palm oil free, plastic free and cruelty free. Our clear bags are made from a plant-derived material that composts within 12 months. All packaging is recyclable or compostable. Never tested on animals.

How do I add my personalised message?
Simply leave your message in the Order Notes and Special Instructions field at checkout. We will write it on your Cooperillo card and include it with the gift. There is no need to select additional gift wrap unless you would like it.
Will this fit through a standard letterbox?
Yes, these sets are designed to fit through a standard UK letterbox, making them ideal for sending directly to your recipient. Unlike a coffee, it will arrive in perfect condition.
Can you send this to an EU address?
Yes, we are happy to send to EU addresses. All relevant duties and taxes are collected at checkout, so your recipient will not face any unexpected charges on delivery.

Please note: If you are shipping to a country outside of the UK, there may be customs charges that you need to consider before your purchase.
RETURN POLICY
We are currently unable to accept returns for our items unless they are damaged and hence unuseable.
If your order is damaged, please contact us within 14 days and we will send a replacement or offer a refund. Please get in touch with a photograph of your damaged product and we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or replacement.
If a refund is the way forward, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Alternatively, we will send out a replacement item to be arranged with you.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your replacement product to reach you may vary.
