Join us at our Malton workshop for an exclusive, hands-on goats milk soap-making experience crafted in partnership with our friends at Wolds Barn in Duggleby and their beautiful herd of goats. Using raw, unpasteurised goats milk straight from the farm, you'll create six luxurious bars of cold process soap to take home and enjoy.
Goats milk soap is renowned for its exceptional skincare benefits, particularly for those with eczema, psoriasis, or dry and sensitive skin. This is a relaxing, sociable, and deeply satisfying craft experience in the heart of North Yorkshire.
What You'll Make
Each participant makes six bars of palm oil free, cold process goats milk soap, scented with your own bespoke blend of essential oils and optionally decorated with botanicals and natural exfoliants. No melt-and-pour bases or UHT milk. This is the real thing.

Meet the Goats
One of the highlights of this workshop is the chance to meet and stroke the goats from Wolds Barn who provide the milk for your soap. Sam and her family have been raising their herd for several years and will introduce you to the goats, share their story, and explain what makes their raw, unpasteurised milk so special for soap-making. It's a truly unique touch that makes this workshop unlike any other.
About the Experience
Sessions last approximately 2 hours (sometimes longer, as we don't like to rush). We welcome up to 10 participants in our spacious Malton premises, making this a wonderfully intimate experience. All skill levels are welcome; no prior soap-making experience is needed.

Do I need any experience to attend?
Not at all. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners through to experienced crafters. Our tutors guide you through every step.
What is the minimum age for this workshop?
Participants must be aged 16 or over.
Will I get to meet the goats?
Yes! Meeting and stroking the goats is one of the highlights of the day. Sam from Wolds Barn brings them along and introduces participants to the herd.
Is the soap palm oil free?
Yes. All soaps made in this workshop are 100% palm oil free, made from vegetable oils and waxes.
What is cold process soap-making?
Cold process is a traditional method of making soap from scratch using oils, lye, and in this case raw goats milk. It produces a superior, long-lasting bar with naturally occurring glycerin, unlike melt-and-pour bases.
Is goats milk soap good for eczema?

How many bars of soap will I make?
You will make six bars of goats milk soap to take home after your session.
When will I be able to use my soap?
Your soap will need to cure for approximately 2 weeks after the workshop before it's ready to use. You'll cut the loaf after 24 hours at home and leave it to cure on a rack.
Can I book a private group session?

Please note: If you are shipping to a country outside of the UK, there may be customs charges that you need to consider before your purchase.
RETURN POLICY
We are currently unable to accept returns for our items unless they are damaged and hence unuseable.
If your order is damaged, please contact us within 14 days and we will send a replacement or offer a refund. Please get in touch with a photograph of your damaged product and we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or replacement.
If a refund is the way forward, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Alternatively, we will send out a replacement item to be arranged with you.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your replacement product to reach you may vary.
