Bring a fresh, uplifting scent to your home or outdoor space with our large 30cl lemongrass candle. It is handmade in our Yorkshire workshop and poured into a high quality glass jar using 100% soy wax.
100% soy wax, never paraffin
This candle is made from 100% soy wax, not a soy and paraffin blend. We choose soy wax instead of petroleum derived waxes, reflecting ongoing concerns about emissions from paraffin when it is burned and their potential impact on indoor air quality.
What that means for your rooms
No candle burns without producing anything at all, so burn yours in a well ventilated room, but you can at least know exactly which wax you are lighting.
Lemongrass essential oil, not synthetic perfume oil
The candle is fragranced with steam distilled lemongrass essential oil rather than synthetic fragrance oils. Some synthetic perfume formulations may contain fragrance ingredients that are not individually disclosed to customers, including allergens. The concern is not the fragrance itself, but that allergenic ingredients may be released into indoor air even when a candle is not lit.

Natural essential oils can still contain naturally occurring fragrance allergens, so please check the ingredient information if you need to avoid particular substances.

Candle safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets.
- Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles.
- Do not burn near anything that could catch fire.
- Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each use.
- On the first burn, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar to help prevent tunnelling.
- Use outdoors only on a stable, heat resistant surface and protect the flame from wind.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does this candle burn for?
Approximately 40 to 50 hours in a draught free environment. Letting the first burn reach the edges of the jar and trimming the wick to about 5mm each time will get you the most from it.
Will it help with kitchen and cooking smells?
Lemongrass is a fresh citrus green fragrance that many of our customers use in the kitchen for exactly this reason. It scents the room rather than removing odour molecules, so light it after cooking and let some fresh air in as well.
Is it a mosquito or insect repellent?
Lemongrass is related to citronella and is popular for outdoor evenings, but this candle is a home fragrance and has not been tested or approved as an insect repellent, so do not rely on it for protection.
Can I burn it outside?
Yes, on a stable, heat resistant surface with the flame protected from wind. Never leave it unattended, and bring it in before it gets wet.
Why soy wax rather than paraffin?
Paraffin is petroleum derived, and there are ongoing concerns about the by-products of burning it indoors. We pour 100% soy wax so you know precisely what is in the jar.
What can I do with the empty jar?
Wash out the residue and reuse the glass jar, or recycle it.

RETURN POLICY
We are currently unable to accept returns for our items unless they are damaged and hence unuseable.
If your order is damaged, please contact us within 14 days and we will send a replacement or offer a refund. Please get in touch with a photograph of your damaged product and we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or replacement.
If a refund is the way forward, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Alternatively, we will send out a replacement item to be arranged with you.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your replacement product to reach you may vary.
