A Natural Shaving Soap That's Different
Available in two natural essential oil fragrances; zesty lemongrass and patchouli, and floral geranium and patchouli. Both are equally suited to facial or body shaving. Price is for one longlasting 55g bar.
Our natural shaving soap is a creamy, coconut oil-based bar featuring bentonite clay for a smooth, deep-cleansing shave. It's suitable for face and body, and ideal for anyone seeking a gentle, natural alternative to conventional shaving foams and creams, whether you're shaving your face, legs or anywhere else.
Lovingly created and made in small, waste-free batches at our workshop in Malton, Yorkshire. Everything in this product is SLS free, additive free, palm oil free, cruelty free and plastic free. All packaging is either fully recyclable cardboard or plant-derived, including our clear bags, which compost within a year.
Why Bentonite Clay?
Unlike conventional shaving products that rely on SLS and synthetic detergents to create lather, our shaving soap uses a blend of natural oils and natural bentonite clay (also known as fuller's earth). Clay has been used for centuries for its purifying and cleansing properties. In our shaving soap, it creates a smooth, slippery surface on the skin that allows a razor to glide cleanly and efficiently without irritation or stripping your skin's natural oils.
We've had wonderful feedback from customers with very sensitive facial skin who normally come out in a rash with conventional shaving products. With our natural shaving soap, that didn't happen: their skin was left feeling smooth and nourished.

What makes this shaving soap different from conventional shaving foam?
Conventional shaving foams and creams rely on SLS, SLES or other synthetic detergents to create lather, along with propellants and artificial additives. Our shaving soap uses bentonite clay and a blend of ethically sourced natural oils instead, no detergents, no propellants, no synthetic ingredients. The result is a closer, cleaner, gentler shave that's kinder to your skin and the planet.
Is this shaving soap suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes, it's specifically formulated to be gentle on sensitive skin. It contains no SLS, sulphates, synthetic detergents, artificial fragrances or preservatives. We've had excellent feedback from customers who normally experience irritation or rashes with conventional shaving products.
Can I use this for face and body shaving?
Absolutely! The 55g bar works equally well for shaving the face, legs or anywhere else. The clay and oil formulation provides a smooth glide and gentle cleanse wherever you use it.
Do I need a shaving brush?
No! You can simply wet the bar and massage it directly onto the skin with your hands. However, using a shaving brush helps to build a richer lather and lifts the hair for a closer shave. We offer a natural beech-handled sisal bristle brush as an optional add-on, available from the dropdown above.
How long does a bar last?
A 55g bar typically lasts several weeks with regular use, depending on how much you use per shave. Because the soap is concentrated and free from water and fillers, a little goes a long way. For a longer-lasting option, see our 80g bar with optional pottery dish.
Is the packaging plastic free?
Yes — all packaging is either fully recyclable cardboard or made from plant-derived materials. Our clear bags compost within a year. No plastic, no spray cans.

Many customers opt to shop by telephone and we can be contacted on 01653 693555 if you wish to do this and create a special personalised gift package by telephone.
Please note: If you are shipping to a country outside of the UK, there may be customs charges that you need to consider before your purchase.
RETURN POLICY
We are currently unable to accept returns for our items unless they are damaged and hence unuseable.
If your order is damaged, please contact us within 14 days and we will send a replacement or offer a refund. Please get in touch with a photograph of your damaged product and we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or replacement.
If a refund is the way forward, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Alternatively, we will send out a replacement item to be arranged with you.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your replacement product to reach you may vary.
