Everything is SLS free, additive-free, palm oil-free, cruelty-free, plastic-free and delightfully 100% natural. All packaging is either fully recyclable cardboard or plant derived, including our clear bags and bubble wrap, which will compost within a year. We never test on animals and we never ask other companies to do so on our behalf.

Choose from the following range, all produced in small, waste-free batches at our workshop in Malton, Yorkshire. 

Hempseed and Patchouli - this oil has been widely reported as being beneficial to a range of skin and other health conditions and we have received a wealth of positive feedback from users referencing benefits to skin conditions including eczema, hormonal skin flare-ups and psoriasis. With the unmistakable yet gentle fragrance of sweet and spicy patchouli essential oil. 

Lavender - the uniquely relaxing and calming lavender fragrance is achieved by the addition of lavender essential oil without any potentially harmful artificial perfumes or colourings. 

Geranium -  an uplifting scent of rosy geranium, with a delicate hint of sweet orange is provided by the addition of essential oils, made from steam distilled flowers and fruit. 

Sweet Orange - a gentle sweet orange scent is created by the addition of essential oil fragrance: a perennial favourite with many of our customers.

Aloe Vera - this uniquely gentle fragrance-free soap contains natural aloe vera juice and is free from any potential artificial perfumes or colourings. We have received feedback from customers with dry skin and other skin difficulties, who have found this very gentle product to be beneficial.

Shea Butter - a gentle and moisturising soap which is suitable for the face, containing shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil and a small hint of sweet orange essential oil fragrance. It will leave your skin feeling cleansed, comfortable and nourished.

Shampoo - Our original fragrance-free formulation is extra gentle for sensitive scalps. You will find you don't need as much product as liquid, detergent-based  shampoos to clean your hair. Simply lather the solid shampoo bar in your hands and then apply to your hair as you would a liquid shampoo, before rinsing out very thoroughly and repeating.

Shaving soap -  for customers seeking a gentle, natural shaving product.  Featuring bentonite clay for a deep cleansing and smooth shave. Subtly scented with lemongrass and patchouli essential oils.

We only use ingredients which can be found in nature and everything is free from the  harmful effects of parabens, detergents, sulphates and SLS. We add no water to our extra long-lasting products, nor do we use any artificial colourings. Our gentle fragrances are all lovingly created from steam distilled flowers., fruits and plants. At Cosy Cottage we do not test anything on animals and we do not commission third parties to do so on our behalf. We have plenty of willing friends and family members who are more than happy to test our products themselves and we work closely with medical professionals,  a cosmetics safety consultant and microbiology lab. to ensure everything is absolutely safe to use.

As with all our soaps, these are creamy and caring coconut oil based soaps, made in Malton, Yorkshire. Everything is SLS free, additive-free, palm oil-free, cruelty-free, plastic-free and delightfully 100% natural. The fresh, fruit and herb fragrances are derived from essential oils, made from steam distilled fruit, flowers and leaves, without any artificial additives, perfumes or colourings.

Geranium and Bergamot

Bergamot is used in herbal medicine to treat inflammation and relieve pain. Together with rosy geranium, this soap has a beautiful fruity and floral fragrance.

Grapefruit and Rosemary

Rosemary has been used for centuries to enhance memory and increase circulation. The combination of grapefruit with rosemary creates a light, citrusy, fresh scent. 

Lavender and Peppermint

Peppermint is used in herbal medicine for the relief of both itching and muscle pain. Lavender is known to induce feelings of calm and relaxation; the pairing of these essential oils has created a beautifully fragranced and beneficial product.
