A Full Day of Making, Learning & Eating — Malton, North Yorkshire
Our Makers’ Day is the ultimate craft day out in Yorkshire. Spend a full day in our Malton workshop making your own 100% soy wax candles in the morning and six bars of cold process natural soap in the afternoon — with a free delicious lunch in between. Everything is included for just £130 per person.
We never rush. This is a relaxed, sociable, and genuinely enjoyable day — perfect for friends, family, or as a very special gift experience.
What You’ll Make & Take Home
- At least 2 x 100% soy wax container candles (worth £24+ each at retail), fragranced with your own custom essential oil blend
- 1 decorated pre-made 30cl candle, personalised in your own style
- 6 bars of handmade cold process soap, palm oil-free, scented with your own signature essential oil blend and personalised with botanicals and exfoliants
The Day — Morning: Candle Making
- 10:30am — Welcome with tea, coffee, cake & introductions
- Candle making background: materials, waxes, wicks, and fragrance
- Candle making demonstration
- Make your own 100% soy wax scented candles to take home
- Decorate a pre-made scented candle using materials provided
The Day — Lunchtime
- 12:45pm — Free delicious lunch together, plus time to explore our workshop and store
The Day — Afternoon: Soap Making
- 2:00pm — Tea, coffee & more cake
- The history and chemistry of cold process soap making
- Materials, fragrance selection, and botanicals
- Soap making demonstration — including how to spot the point of trace
- Make your own six bars of palm oil-free, all-natural cold process soap
- Next steps: cutting (after 24 hours) and curing (after 2 weeks)
- 4:00–4:30pm — Pack up and head home with your candles and soaps
About Your Creations
Your soaps are made from vegetable oils and waxes using the cold process method — no melt-and-pour synthetic bases. Your candles are made from 100% high-quality soy wax — no paraffin, no smoky waxes. Everything is personalised with your own choice of essential oil fragrances, dried flowers, botanicals, and exfoliants. Uniquely yours.

Many customers opt to shop by telephone and we can be contacted on 01653 693555 if you wish to do this and create a special personalised gift package by telephone.
Please note: If you are shipping to a country outside of the UK, there may be customs charges that you need to consider before your purchase.
RETURN POLICY
We are currently unable to accept returns for our items unless they are damaged and hence unuseable.
If your order is damaged, please contact us within 14 days and we will send a replacement or offer a refund. Please get in touch with a photograph of your damaged product and we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or replacement.
If a refund is the way forward, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Alternatively, we will send out a replacement item to be arranged with you.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your replacement product to reach you may vary.
