We created this box because men are traditionally hard to buy for -- and because we kept being asked for a gift that felt genuinely considered rather than an afterthought. The answer was a collection of our bestselling grooming and skincare products built around the rich, enigmatic, woody scents of patchouli, hempseed, sandalwood and lemongrass. In practice, all genders love this box. But it was made with the chaps in mind.
Everything is handmade in small, low-energy, low-waste batches in our Yorkshire workshop from natural ingredients only.

What's in the Box
- 55g Patchouli and Lemongrass Shaving Soap -- infused with fuller's earth (bentonite clay), which creates a smooth shaving surface and helps the razor glide cleanly. We've had consistently excellent feedback from shavers with sensitive skin. No synthetic lather boosters, no synthetics at all.
- 55g Hempseed and Patchouli Soap -- therapeutic and luxurious. Hempseed oil is widely reported to be beneficial to a range of skin conditions. Gentle and calming, with a mild, spicy patchouli scent that lingers beautifully.
- 50ml Sandalwood and Tea Tree Natural Deodorant -- aluminium free, plastic free, paraben free, alcohol free and palm oil free. Works with your body to discourage odour-causing bacteria. Rich shea butter and sweet almond oil protect and nourish underarm skin. Packaged in a recyclable tin.
- Beech-handled shaving brush with natural sisal bristles -- beautifully made, natural and long-lasting.
- Olive wood nail brush -- a handsome, practical addition to any bathroom.
All presented in an exclusive Cosy Cottage branded gift box, designed by one of our local artist partners. These attractive boxes are frequently reused by our customers.

We offer a gift wrapping service at checkout, where you can add a personal message and select a greetings card for a small additional charge. We can also send the box directly to your recipient via Royal Mail -- just enter their name and delivery address at checkout. It will arrive beautifully presented with no invoice enclosed.
Why You'll Love It
Everything in this box is SLS free, palm oil free, paraben free and additive free, made from only natural ingredients. The scent profile is warm, woody and grounding -- patchouli, hempseed, sandalwood and lemongrass -- distinctive without being overpowering. All packaging is either fully recyclable cardboard or plant-derived and compostable, including our clear bags and bubble wrap, which will compost within a year.
Our Cruelty-Free Commitment
We never test on animals. We never commission third parties to test on animals on our behalf. And we refuse to export to countries where animal testing is mandatory for the sale of cosmetics. This is a firm and unconditional commitment, not a marketing claim.

Can you send this directly to the gift recipient?

Is this really just for men?
Not at all -- we created it with men in mind because they are notoriously tricky to buy for, but in practice all genders love the rich, woody scent profile. If you enjoy patchouli, sandalwood and hempseed, this box is for you regardless.
Is the shaving soap suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes -- it's one of the things we're most proud of about this product. The bentonite clay creates a smooth shaving surface without any synthetic lather boosters, and we've had excellent feedback specifically from shavers with sensitive or reactive skin.
How does the natural deodorant work?
Rather than blocking sweat glands with aluminium (as conventional antiperspirants do), our deodorant works with your body to create conditions that discourage the bacteria responsible for odour. It is aluminium free, alcohol free and paraben free. Some customers find a short adjustment period of a week or two when switching from conventional antiperspirants, after which it works very effectively.
Is this set vegan?
No. Both soaps contain beeswax. The deodorant is vegan. If you are looking for a fully vegan gift, please contact us at customers@cosycottagesoap.co.uk and we will advise.
Is this cruelty free?

Yes, and we make it hassle-free. We collect all applicable EU import taxes and duties at checkout, so there are no unexpected charges on delivery for your recipient. DELIVERY INFORMATION
Many customers opt to shop by telephone and we can be contacted on 01653 693555 if you wish to do this and create a special personalised gift package by telephone.
Please note: If you are shipping to a country outside of the UK, there may be customs charges that you need to consider before your purchase.
RETURN POLICY
We are currently unable to accept returns for our items unless they are damaged and hence unuseable.
If your order is damaged, please contact us within 14 days and we will send a replacement or offer a refund. Please get in touch with a photograph of your damaged product and we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or replacement.
If a refund is the way forward, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Alternatively, we will send out a replacement item to be arranged with you.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your replacement product to reach you may vary.
