No room for a bath, no time for a bath? No problem at all, with our essential oil blend shower steamers!

Our two-pack shower steamer lozenges have been especially designed to give our customers an indulgent, relaxing spa experience in their daily shower. A little bit of loveliness, easily popped into the busiest of schedules, each and every day.

Just pop one lozenge in the base of your shower, away from being washed directly by the shower spray, and allow it to gently dissolve slowly, while releasing our exclusive essential oil aroma into the shower space or cubicle. This unique essential oil blend of steam distilled, plant based essential oils, has been created by our team, in our Malton workshop and is redolent of a summer seashore, in warm sunshine, bathed by a soft, relaxing breeze.

Each 27g lozenge will last for up to three showers and we're delighted to offer them in handy packs of two lozenges, contained within a biodegradable, transparent bag. The composition of the shower lozenges incorporates citric acid and bicarbonate of soda; there are no fats or oils in the formula (as would be the case with soap, for example). We are therefore confident that the lozenges will not add to any greasiness or slipperiness in the shower.

Our shower steamers are created in our Malton workshop using processes which use minimal fossil fuel energy and create no waste.  As with all our products they contain no palm oil, no plastic, no artificial surfactants or preservatives and are not tested in animals.

Sodium hydrogen carbonate, Citric Acid, Cendrus Atlantica Bark Oil, Rosemarinus Officiaonalis Leaf Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Oil, Cymbopogon Flexuosis leaf oil, (Citral, citranellol, geraniol, limonene, linalool)

Disappointing

Thankfully, this is the only item I've been unhappy about since starting to shop at Cosy Cottage a few years ago. I didn't much like the scent as the lonzenge started to dissolve and was overall disappointed and thought the "build-up" in the marketing was exaggerated. Basically, I fell for the marketing but won't be buying these again. However, I will happily continue to order my usual products.

Lavender natural Reed diffuser with pure essential oil.

We are delighted to offer our generous and long-lasting 100ml diffuser, fragranced with  calming and relaxing lavender essential oil, made from the steam distilled flowers of Lavandula Angustifolia. 

This attractive diffuser is presented in a high quality glass container and comes complete with a set of seven natural and long lasting wooden reeds.

The naturally derived essential oils are free from potentially harmful synthesised limonoids and provide a gentle, natural scent to your home. 

Our carefully selected , long lasting diffuser base is suitable for vegans, is not harmful to humans, animals, or the environment and uses innovative technology from renewable resources. Additionally this base is non-flammable, and is not made from petrochemicals.

As with all diffusers and home fragrance products, the diffuser contents should not be consumed, the reeds should not be ignited, the product should be kept away from pets and children and should not be allowed to come into contact with polished surfaces  

Please note that these products do have a small plastic bung in the top of the bottle to stop leakage and evaporation prior to purchase. The glass bottles and the plastic bungs can be returned to us in person to our store in Malton for refilling and re-use.

Our popular and beautiful 4oz, 100% soy wax candles are hand-poured in hand-decorated, white, earthenware pots, with gorgeously natural and cosy scents.

We offer three delightful fragrances, each of which will create a unique ambience

Why not light one while you treat yourself to a soak with a good book, a warming cuppa and some of our coconut oil soap or one of our natural bath bombs?

Each candle will burn for around 20 hours if you keep it in a draft-free place, keep the wick trimmed and burn for sustained 4 - 5 hour periods.

Beautiful subtle fragrance

I don’t often buy scented candles because they are often disappointing, but this candle is wonderful. The lavender scent is beautiful and the candle burns well. I love the fact that the ramekin can be reused. I visited the shop in Malton and I will be back!

Our 100% soy wax Cosy candle is handmade here in our Yorkshire workshop. Our traditional, self trimming wicks are made from pure cotton with thin paper filaments, specifically designed to give a stable burn. 

Each large 30cl candle is hand poured into a high quality, glass jar and will burn for a generous 30 - 40 hours in a draft free environment.

This Cosy candle is fragranced with 100% natural essential oil, made from steam distilled flowers, fruit or plants. With a delightful and refreshing Lemongrass fragrance to create a unique ambience

Please stay safe while you enjoy this product:

Warm and comforting

I recommend the Cinnamon and Orange candle. I find the fragrance from this candle warm and comforting especially when we have had bad weather outside. It seems to be lasting well.

Creating an air of cosiness, calm and tranquility ...

Our melts are lovingly made in our Malton workshop using essential oils, made from steam distilled fruit, herbs, plants and flowers, in a soy wax base. Each melt will continue to generate fragrance for a minimum of eight hours

Take good care and follow our safety tips below

  • Always use within sight, and never leave unattended

  • Always ensure that you do not overfill your bowl

  • Keep melted wax away from pets and children

  • Do not eat

  • Never pour melted wax down plug holes

  • Wax / burner will remain hot after the tea light has been extinguished / burner switched off

  • Do not try to move the burner until it has cooled completely and the wax has hardened

  • Do not add water or fragrance oils to wax melt well

  • Keep wax clear of debris

  • Only ever use unscented tea lights as fragrance ones burn too hot

  • Only use standard sized 4hr tea lights.  Never use the larger 8hr tea lights or multiples as these can cause the burners to break

  • Never place burner in freezer to help dislodge wax.  This can weaken structure of the burner

  • Ensure that the surface under the burner is heatproof

Great Gift

A truly happy, uplifting and exclusive blend of orange, geranium and eucalyptus essential oils. Aptly named Inspiration, due to the dominant eucalyptus fragrance, widely known for its beneficial mind clearing, relaxing and therapeutic properties. 

Composure

A supremely calming, complex blend of geranium, lavender, lemongrass, lemon, patchouli and orange essential oils. All of these natural essential oils are known to have calming properties and they incorporate elements recognised as being beneficial in the treatment of depression, the promotion of mindfulness and the relief of insomnia.

Serenity

A uniquely serene and soothing, exclusive blend of earthy cedarwood, rosemary, sandalwood and lemongrass essential oils.  This fresh, delightful and serene blend will bring a fresh and uplifting fragrance to your home, redolent of our Yorkshire countryside and coast.  

Peace

Based on the same complex component oils as the Composure blend, but this time with a dominant, woody patchouli fragrance. Tranquility

A gloriously satisfying and exclusive blend of vetiver, grapefruit and cedarwood essential oils. The dominant fragrance, vetiver is known as 'miracle grass' or 'the oil of tranquility' and is reputed to be beneficial in soothing anxiety, insomnia, fatigue and depression.   

Warmth

With sweet orange and cinnamon leaf essential oils, this exclusive and ever-popular blend promotes a sense of calm and relaxation. Named warmth for the cosy atmosphere created as the natural essential oils are gently diffused around your home.

Great Gift, Great Fragrance

I was bought this as a gift for my birthday and I have to say it’s the best reed diffuser I have had. It was the composure fragrance and its amazing. Every morning when I wake up, I feel like I’m at spa. I have just ordered another reed diffuser and the candle too for my living room.
