Face to Face Soy Wax Candlemaking Workshops in our Malton Workshop

Join us in our Malton, Navigation Wharf workshop (see below for google maps link) for a glorious, relaxing afternoon of palm oil free soap-making! Make six bars of your own signature, cold process soap to take home.

We have had outstanding feedback from past participants and are delighted to have scheduled our workshops for 2024. Due to the popularity of these workshops, early booking is recommended. 

In our spacious premises in Navigation Wharf, Yorkersgate, next to the Talbot Hotel, Malton, we are very happy to be able to host up to ten participants, to make six, lovely bars of palm oil free soap, each, bearing your own signature fragrance, made from a blend of essential oils. 

You will make your palm oil free soap from vegetable oils and waxes using the cold process soap-making method. No melt-and-pour synthetic soap bases here! Your will then personalise your soap using dried flowers, fruit, exfoliants and fragrances.

These workshops make superb gifts. If you would like a card to be sent to the recipient, please select your Gift Card and add your message at checkout. Please ensure that we have the address for the recipient if you would like the card to be sent directly 

The morning sessions will start at 10.00 a.m. and finish around noon and  afternoon sessions will start at 2pm and finish at around 4.00pm (depending on how quickly we work - we do not like to rush, it's meant to be relaxing!)

 We are delighted to partner with our local friends at Wolds Barn in Duggleby to bring you this fascinating and exclusive goats milk soapmaking workshop, incorporating the milk from their beautiful goats.   We have been working with Sam and her family for several years and are thrilled that she has agreed to participate in the workshop.

Learn the special techniques needed to create goats mils soaps and make six bars of your own goats milk soap to take home and enjoy.

These special goats milk soapmaking sessions will last around 2 hours and maybe more depending on how quickly we work - we do not like to rush, it's meant to be relaxing!

Take home up to 10 tins of your own exclusive balms after the session to use personally or to gift to your family and friends. 

We have had outstanding feedback from past participants at our full suite of Cosy Cottage face to face workshops, which have included soap, soy wax candlemaking and balm making workshops.  

In our spacious,  premises in Navigation Wharf, Yorkersgate, next to the Talbot Hotel, Malton, we are very happy to be able to host up to six participants for these relaxing and enjoyable lip and pulse-point balm making workshops. 

You will make your balms in your choice of 15ml or 30ml tins, The usual choice for lip balms is peppermint but a taste free version is frequently preferred by those with allergies. Your relaxing pulse point balms can be made in a choice of fragrances or your own blend. Lavender is s particularly popular fragrance for relaxing pulse-point balms as is chamomile or vetiver.

Welcome to our 'Cosy Crafts' range. This fantastic soap-felting kit contains everything you need to make four lovely, large palm oil free, felted soaps; ideal for use in the bath or shower.

This kit, presented in one of our signature, branded Cosy Cottage boxes, contains a detailed and illustrated instruction booklet, to guide you through the soap-felting process, which is both fun and rewarding. It  would make an ideal gift or provide the basis for a home crafting session to enjoy yourself or with children/grandchildren.

Your homemade, felted soaps will make popular gifts for friends and family or a delightful bath or shower time treat, just for you. We include four large bars of our most popular soaps - Geranium and Sweet Orange:

Geranium -  with the uplifting scent of rosy geranium and a delicate hint of sweet orange. A firm favourite with our customers who return to this rose-like fragrance again and again.

Sweet Orange - this fresh, energising, fruity fragrance is a favourite all year round but especially for Spring and Summer and is achieved by the addition of sweet orange essential oil. 

Contents:

4 x large 110g Coconut Oil Soaps, fragranced with essential oils (2 x Sweet Orange, 2 x Geranium)

 Wool roving in various, coordinating colours (primarily oranges, creams and pinks)

A pair of felting tights!
