The World of Aromatherapy

Hello and welcome to the wonderful world of Aromatherapy. Next week is Aromatherapy Awareness Week and we thought it was fitting to chat about it on our blog today. If you are unsure, aromatherapy is described as the use of aromatic plant extract and essential oils for healing and cosmetic purposes.

Aromatherapy

Essential oil fragrances are fundamental ingredients in nearly all of our products and therefore aromatherapy is a cornerstone to our brand. All essential oils which we use are created naturally from steamed distilled flowers and fruits. When creating new products we not only consider how to the product will smell but also how it will make you feel. Using essential oils in aromatherapy can impact your mental and physical wellbeing. They have been known to reduce pain and anxiety, enhance your mood and short term memory and they've even been linked with preventing hair loss. This works by the scent stimulating parts of the brain connected to memory and mood as you breathe the essential oils in.

There are three key ways of using essential oils in aromatherapy: by massage, in the bath or simply by breathing them in. All of our products are designed to fit within these categories in order to have a positive impact on your mind and body. Our Bubble Baths and soaps are excellent ways to build in aromatherapy into your everyday bathing or showering routine. Alternatively, using our balms and creams and massaging them onto the skin in a careful and considerate way is another excellent way of building in some extra self-care into your day. Our natural diffusers are inhaled directly from the air.

We love to write out the benefits of essential oils and in the past have written multiple blog posts in this series. Take a look at the list below to see our previous blog posts and bit more about how you can benefit from the use of essential oils and aromatherapy.
