The Cosy Cottage Promise

The eager eyed amongst you may have noticed some new logos and icons popping up on our product packaging, the website and our social media channels over the past few weeks. This is all part of our commitment to our customers and the planet. We want to share a little insight into these values which have defined and shaped our business, and will continue to do so in the coming years.  

At Cosy Cottage Soap HQ, everyone is passionate about improving our relationship with the environment. We are all invested in finding ways to reduce our impact both personally and through the work we do in Malton. To us, these commitments extend so much further than the Cosy Cottage business. 

Our products are plastic and palm oil free, handmade in small, low waste batches and completely free from artificial additives. 

All of our products are cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians. We also offer a growing range of vegan products. 

Every ingredient is sourced locally as often as possible and can be found somewhere in nature. The gentle essential oil fragrances we use are created from steam distilled flowers, petals or fruit. We do not add water to our creams or balms so everything is beautifully long lasting.

We like to give nature a helping hand in return by using recyclable or compostable packaging. We often reuse commercial cardboard packaging with our wholesale customers and use clear bags and bubble wrap made from biodegradable plant derived material that will compost in one year. 

Together as a team we have created these logos to symbolise our values which run through our products and business. We are proud of these roots which help guide us through business decisions each day, putting the planet and our eco-eco-conscious customers first. 

Plastic free: 

We avoid wherever possible using single use plastic in our manufacturing processes. We do not use plastic in our packaging. All our packaging is biodegradable or recyclable. 

Cruelty free: 

We do not undertake any testing on animals. We don't commission testing on animals from third parties. Our Cosy Companions was tested on willing humans before on animals. 

Palm Oil free:

We do not use palm oil in any of our products. 

SLS and Paraben Free

Our products are free from SLS and parabens and 100% natural.
