Hempseed Oil Is Good For Your Skin

We've said it before and we'll say it again! Hempseed oil is good for your skin. Over the six years we've been using this wonderful ingredient in our soaps and creams, we've had some amazing feedback. Most recently from Megan:

"I used a drugstore facial wash branded ‘for sensitive skin’ and had a bad reaction the next day, which I have never experienced before. I was concerned about scarring. Someone recommended the Hempseed Oil Hand and Body CreamI applied once in the morning and once during the evening and saw results after two days. Within two weeks my skin was clear."

What kind of hempseed oil do we use in Cosy Cottage Products?

The oil we use is derived from the cold pressed seeds of the hemp plant (c. sativa). Hempseed Oil is very rich in a number of fatty acids which have been proven to yield skin benefits, including omega 3s and omega 6s, including GLA or Gamma Linoleic Acid.

Why is hempseed oil so great for our skin?

The structure of hempseed oil makes it a great moisturiser without being a pore-clogger which means it resolves dryness without exacerbating blackheads or spots.

One of the omega-6 fatty acids in hempseed oil is gamma linoleic acid (GLA); a great anti-inflammatory agent, which also encourages skin regeneration. This valuable substance has also been reported to be beneficial for acne and psoriasis.

The omega 6 group and omega 3 group fatty acids, in which hempseed oil is particularly rich have been seen to help conditions such as atopic dermatitis.

Hempseed Oil has been shown in some studies to have anti-ageing properties, helping reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It contains tocopherols; similar to the vitamin E group of compounds whose skin benefits are invaluable in enriching and regenerating.

We team hempseed oil with other beautifully scented and relaxing oils in many of our soaps and creams. They can all be found in the collection.

Absolutely! Hempseed oil is a true gem for skincare. Its natural properties make it an excellent choice for moisturizing and nourishing the skin. Rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, it helps maintain skin’s hydration and elasticity, leaving it soft and supple. Refer to this related site https://www.cannabella.com.au/.
